What’s happening in Fred’s global megastore?

FRED ON CD:
The SKOPTers’ December 2011 event was attended by local musician and producer Daniel Merrill, who was so impressed that he invited us to record our work in his studio during Feb/March. Thanks Dan, glad you enjoyed the SKOPT evening, and what a super opportunity you gave us. The CD has six Colchester poets, and includes three Fred tracks.

WANT TO BUY THE CD? Physical copies of the CD, costing £5 have nearly sold out. All the profits went to Planetfrank, raising money for Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (www.justgiving.com/planetfrank).

However, downloads are still available for £3, and all the takings go to JDRF. Click on the link to check it out.

FRED ON FILM Colchester Film Society got wind of our local poetry group “Some kind of poetry thing”, and offered to record us for posterity and Auntie Mabel. Thanks to CFS and SKOPT’s Steve Lawton for making this happen. Filming 21 March 2012, by Tommy Zalucki, of “Ash the Owl” (not yet edited) and “Colchester Riots, August 2011”.

FRED IN PRINT Despite Fred’s view that it’s spoken word, not written word, many requests have been received for “some kind of book of the poems”. So this will be produced for the lucrative Christmas market, in November 2013.

In the meantime, copies of the legendary “Love, Hate and Prettygate” collection are available as a hand written edition for £75. This will be a very limited edition, due to lack of demand.

FRED APPAREL I have been unable to trademark the “flat cap and check shirt” look, but  I am scoping a T-shirt series, and the Fred onesie is bound to be in demand.
